Baptist Healing Trust purchased 2928 Sidco Drive for $1.25 million and plans to make Berry Hill its new home. The local grant foundation, has been looking to move its offices from Charlotte Avenue and purchased the 6,600 square foot building from IKON Development LLC.
The Tennessean’s , Gethn Ward reports:
“IKON Construction, a general contractor and sister company to the seller that had occupied the building at 2928 Sidco Drive, plans to move a mile and a half to 4336 Kenilwood Drive.
Five years ago, Dave LeFeve, IKON Construction’s president, bought the Sidco Drive building for $630,000 and renovated it. The construction company employs roughly 15 people, LeFeve said.”
‘It’s a great little building for them [Baptist Healing Trust] — it really works well for what they’re looking for,’ said R. Stephen Prather, a broker with Chas. Hawkins Co. in Nashville, who represented the buyer.
Baptist Healing Trust, a charity created a decade ago with proceeds from the sale of Nashville’s Baptist Hospital to Ascension Health of St. Louis, provides grants to heath care charities and conducts retreats, workshops and consultation for caregivers. Since the charity was founded, it has awarded more than $55 million to local projects and organizations.”
