Walton Development and Management of Rosewell, Georgia are the new owners of Carothers Crossing Development east of Nolensville. The developers paid $4.6 million for three parcels totaling 388 acres and currently have a connecting fourth parcel under contract. The sellers of the three parcels were Capital Bank, Pinnacle Bank and Cadence Bank, which all foreclosed on this land back in 2010. The new owners plan to continue the development of the mixed-used residential community that the original owners, Don Smithson and Ed Richey, planned. There is a lot of potential for this community but Walton Development has a few hurtles to resolve with Metro before construction can begin. Overall, this is very exciting news for Middle Tennessee and we are anxious to see this community grow.
